Happy New Year everyone.
My name is Anthony Lim from TM Batch #6. Firstly like to thank Seeni for his input.
I was struggling initially with wordpress for the initial 2-3 wks and change the theme more than 100 times - F5, F5, F5 and my adsense account show more than 30 page impression daily but NO click. Now not so bad with wordpress but still not good enough.
Hope someone can help me with the followings:
What is the HTML code for wrapping the text to the Adsens Ads. I had tried few nights and only able to bring the ads to the right.
On the top left hand of my post indicated - "Posted by Anthony Lim" and it is a link but a broken link. How to fix that. Google don't like broken link.
Why Blog URL so long(http://www.companyandpeople.com/companypeople/company-website-marketing/company-website-marketing) - 3 levels down. How to shorten it. Google spiderman lazy to go down basement 3.
RSS1 widget, when click update the widget just disappear. FYI - I got Feedburner account.

So now my focus will be improving visitor to my blog and to do that, I had taken the cue from Singapore Tourisms Board (STB) drive to bring in 15Million visitor to Singapore by 2011. To do that, Singapore had to had 1st class infrastructure and attraction - T3, Garden By the Bay, IR, F1
on top of our existing world class like Night Safari, Esplanade etc.
Transforming Marina Bay into a Singapore new icon recognisable world wide and backup by our unique multi-cultural society.
Now back to blogging (to cut the story short), we actually had to post 3 articles per week as part of our assigment for TM #6 and by now we should have around 12 articles - unique articles. I sense and I feel, we are all way, way behind that. I had read free articles from some other Internet
gurus (not sure are they really are) like Roslyn Gardner, Aman Morin (hope spell their name correctly): "Content, Content, Content / Content is King and must be continous pour". I am of the same opinion with them in order for our Blog to survives, visitor would stay longer and opt-in to our mailing list.
Back to STB again for the last time. Our government has been "pushing" hard to get all our ASEAN members to liberalize or free up air services so that all can visit one another without hassle. Airline from member states can fly unlimited to any country cities and beyond. This move would
benefit everyone.
Back to the blogging. I am of the opinion that unique visitor would unlikely parachute to my blog and so I must built linkages (Reciprocal Link) with other website / blog with complemntary offering so that we can draw visitor from one another. Since my blog still at its infancy, the only way to
mtoivate them to link to my blog is through content from my blog. I would also request member from forum to link their site to my blog if it meet my linking requirement.
I had to remember that any outbound link weakens my blog ranking so I must ensure that any inbound link must be from good ranking site to compensate for that. I remember Alvi Phang once said, not more
than 100 outbound link - so I have to balance between affiliates etc and site partner link.
Below are what hope to achieve for my blog for Y2008:
By end Jan-07: to have 10 - 15 articles and submit to article directories when reach 12 articles. Now NOT Open House yet only TM student and it is ok with me if someone from outside sneak in.
By end Jun-07: 50 -60 articles.
By end of 2nd half YR 2008: I will let you know later - hopefully in Jun-2008.Above is my personal opinion only as each one of us has our own way but our goal is probably the same. Here I like to share with you a quote by: Helen Keller
